My hubby loves this Hubby Cheeseburger Sliders. They are his favorite meal when it comes to watch football. This is a perfect choice to make something DELI and QUICK. The coolest thing of this recipe is you can serve it as an appetizer or main course with sides like: homemade french fries, salad, mac and cheese… The options are endless.

Something special from these sliders is its savory sauce. The condiments like Dijon Mustard, black pepper, salt, combined with butter, parsley and a touch of honey makes it different to any other cheeseburger sliders you have ever tried. And the best is they’re so APPETIZING!

At any family event I bring this meal and it becomes a TOP one! They disappear so fast!

WHAT WE’LL NEED TO MAKE THE HUBBY CHEESEBURGER SLIDERS

The ingredients I will list with quantities are for a small gathering of 4-5 people for a bigger event, you have to double the quantities.

  • 12 pack of dinner rolls
  • 1 pound of good quality ground beef
  • White onion
  • Green onion
  • Garlic
  • Dry oregano
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Butter
  • Dijon mustard
  • Honey
  • Parsley
  • Black pepper
  • Salt

HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE SLIDERS

  1. Spoon out any liquid left after cooking the beef. This will avoid our buns end up with a soggy texture.
  2. Brush the buns’ bottom half with the butter and Dijon mustard sauce
  3. Spread the cheese in the buns’ bottom half
  4. Place the cooked ground beef
  5. Spread more cheddar cheese
  6. Cover with the buns’ top half
  7. Brush the top with the butter and Dijon sauce

CAN I MAKE THE SLIDERS AHEAD?

Absolutely, you can make them one day before and store them in the fridge covered by clear plastic wrap.

You also can reheat the sliders by having the oven ready in a temperature of 350F or 175C and placing them in for about 10-15 minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ white onion diced
  • ¼ cup green onion diced
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dry oregano
  • 1 pack dinner rolls
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese

Butter , Honey and Dijon Mustard Sauce

  • cup butter
  • 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup parsley
  • 1 dash honey

Spanish translation/ Traducción en español

  • 1 libra carne molida
  • ½ cebolla blanca picada
  • ¼ taza cebolla larga picada
  • 1 diente de ajo
  • 1 cdta pimienta
  • 1 cdta sal
  • 2 cda aceite de oliva o el que tenga a la mano
  • 1 cdta oregano seco
  • 1 paquete panecillos
  • 2 tazas queso cheddar

Salsa de mantequilla con miel y mostaza Dijon

  • taza mantequilla
  • 2 cdas mostaza Dijon
  • ¼ cdta sal
  • ¼ cdta pimienta
  • ½ cup perejil
  • 1 pizca miel

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F
  • Place 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet in over low/medium heat. Add the diced white and green onion, minced garlic and ground beef, breaking out with a spatula. After that, season with black pepper, salt and dry oregano. Sauté all the ingredients always breaking out the ground beef.
  • Once the beef is cooked, spoon off any excess of water or fat.
  • Slice the rolls in half lengthwise. Place the bottom half in the same baking dish. Brush the bottom with the butter, honey and Dijon Mustard sauce and spread the cheddar cheese. Then, add the ground beef mixture and finish putting on the top of the beef more cheddar cheesse
  • Place the top of the roll buns and brush the top of it with the butter, honey and dijon mustard sauce.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted

Spanish translation/Traduccion en español

  • Caliente el horno a 175°C
  • Coloque 2 cucharadas de aceite de oiliva en un sarten grande entre temperatura baja/media. Agregue la cebolla blanca y larga cortado en cuadros pequeños y agregue el ajo picado con la carne molina. Con una espatula, este partiendo los grumos de la carne molida en trozos pequeños. Después, sasone con la pimienta, sal y orégano seco. Salteé todos los ingredientes simpre partiendo con una espatula los grumos que se vayan haciendo con la carne molida.
  • Una vez la preparacion de la carne molida este lista, saque todo exceso de liquido para evitar que al ponerlo en el pan, este se moje.
  • Corte los panecillos a lo largo en dos partes. Coloque la parte de abajo coratada en el recipiente para hornear y unte esta parte con la salsa de mantequlla, miel y mostaza Dijon. Luego coloque el queso cheddar y agregue la mezcla de la carne molida. Finalmente, coloque otra caoa de queso cheddar.
  • Coloque la parte de arriba de los panecillos para cubrir y para teminar, unte en la parte superior mas de la salsa de mantequilla, miel y mostaza Dijon.
