Goat Cheese Balls

My first experience eating Goat Cheese Balls was when I went to North Carolina’s capital to see a Hurricane’s game. Oh goodness! I loved the creaminess of the soften goat cheese in the inside, and the crunchiness the breadcrumbs gave them in the outside. They were a perfect pair for a blueberry salad! They became part of my menu since then!

Today’s recipe we’ll recreate these splendor Goat Cheese Balls, done in mini, Air Fryer form!

These cheese balls are going to be a perfect appetizer, side dish or salad topping. They go well with salt or/and sweet recipes. So, your creativity with these guys at the kitchen are infinite. You can add pistachios, cranberries, honey or onion, little pieces of bacon to the mix with the goat cheese. Otherwise, you just can leave them plain like me.

The way I’ll cook my Goat Cheese Balls will be through the Air Fryer method, as I previously said. However, you also can deep fry or bake them.

HOW TO MAKE GOAT CHEESE BALLS

To Air fry your cheese balls, preheat it to 375 F, drizzle some olive oil on the balls and spray more on your air fryer. Leave them for about 5-7 minutes. Keep checking on them and taking them out to avoid they over cooked and the cheese start running out.

Place your wonderful creation on a serving plate or tray and decorate with fresh herbs. Take a bite! the Goat Cheese Balls are going to be creamier in the inside and crunchy on the outside!

You can serve these immediately or room temperature. Either way, they will taste amazing!

Goat Cheese Balls

These Goat Cheese Balls are dreamy creamy in the inside with a crispy coating on their outside, tangy and addictive! And the best thing is they only need 5 – 7 minutes to be cooked in the Air Fryer.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 oz fresh goat cheese for 12 balls
  • cup all purpose flour I used gluten free
  • cup bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cut the goat cheese log in 12 portions and roll into balls. Then, take them to the refrigerator for 20 minutes, so the cheese balls compact again.
  • Drop the goat cheese rounds into the flour and toss to thoroughly coat. Transfer goat cheese balls to a mixing bowl with beaten eggs. Make sure they are covered on all sides.
  • Lastly, transfer the goat cheese balls to the bowl with the breadcrumbs and toss to evenly coat on all sides.
  • Freeze the balls for 20 more minutes. Doing this will keep the goat cheese balls from exploiting or melting when you cook them.
  • Drizzle the balls with olive oil and also spray some oil in the air fryer.
  • Cook at 375°F for about 5 to 7 minutes. Keep watching the goat cheese balls to be sure any of them have been melted.
  • Place the goat cheese balls in a serving tray or dish and decorate with fresh herbs. They can be served immediately or room temperature.
