Hello Sunshine!
Spring is here! The nature dresses up in multi colors and plays melodies that garnish the awakeness of every morning.
And with every morning (and maybe also your afternoons), you just think on one thought… Get a boost of caffeine! That first sip of coffee in the morning has the power to transform you from a sleep-deprived zombie to a chipper morning person, ready to take on the day.
A perfectly brewed latte, homemade espresso, cold brew or we really can’t think of a better suggestion than this naturally sweetened, creamy, indulgent iced mocha that doesn’t require an expresso machine.
Ingredients to make Oat Milk Iced Mocha
Instant Coffee – Instant coffee is a necessity, if you want to make some whipped mocha. I recommend using an instant espresso. If you plan to make this as a hot mocha, you can use fresh shots of espresso. However, you also can use cold-brew. You can make your own or use store-bought cold brew.
Coconut Sugar – I like to use coconut sugar for my recipes because it is unrefined and contains essential vitamins and minerals.
Vegan Condensed Milk – You can find here a very simple recipe of a delicious vegan condensed milk.
Oat Milk – Oat milks is a definite go-to when it comes to plant-based milks for us. It’s thicker, super creamy, the flavor is really mild and it is just so delicious.
Organic Cacao powder – For a stronger flavor or you can also use cocoa powder.
How to make this Mocha Latte
This Mocha latte is fantastic because it only requires a couple of steps and no crazy equipment or fancy espresso machines.
- Decorate the glass by using the milk frother to make rings around a tall glass with the vegan mocha caramel. (instructions of how to prepare, it below in the recipe card). All you have to do to do this is dip the coil of the frother in the caramel and then hover it in the glass. Turn it on and the caramel will fly to the sides of the glass. Repeat several times to decorate.
- Combine the instant coffee, coconut sugar, vegan condensed milk and water together in a small glass. Use your handheld milk frother to whip the coffee.
- Add ice and Oat Milk.
- Top with cacao caramel and enjoy!
