Battered Air Fryer Mushrooms

Battered Air Fryer Mushrooms

These Battered Air Fryer Mushrooms are coated in a light and crispy seasoning batter you’ll enjoy. These are a hit, perfect for a snack, as an appetizer or more!!

Something that I really like of making this recipe is you only need few ingredients to make this quick and simple battered mushrooms…But I love the most is you won’t have to use lots of oil to make them.

They are also perfect as a topping for a juicy steak, hamburger or a toast bread. However, you can include them as a side of some main course as well. This recipe is very versatile, you can enjoy it as you would prefer!

For this recipe, I decided to use large Portobello mushrooms because I wanted to make them as an appetizer but if you want to use them as a topping, I recommend to use the small ones.

Once you have washed your mushrooms, cut them in thick slices and dry-fry them on a non-stick pan on each side. That will soft the mushrooms and have them ready to coat with the batter mixture.

INGREDIENTS

We will be adding an egg to the batter, so the breadcrumbs sticks better to our mushrooms. You won’t be able to resist to their crunchy texture.

And what about the white sauce? …Mm, It’s perfectly creamy, tangy and fill of good nutrients that will pair well with our Battered Air-Fryer Mushrooms. (See the ingredients and instructions on the recipe card below this page.)

HOW TO COOK BATTERED MUSHROOMS IN AN AIR FRYER

  1. Dunk the mushroom in the batter and toss them one by one in the breadcrumbs until they’re completely coated.

2. Arrange them on a flat surface and spray the coated mushrooms with some olive oil. Turn your air fryer on and set the temperature to 350F with a time of 8 minutes.

Keep checking your mushrooms until you see that golden color that calls for being eaten.😜
